Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to your use of this website and enquiries for services provided by A PANDIT LIMITED trading as The Pandit.

1. Who we are

A PANDIT LIMITED is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15009042). Our registered office is Office 5 Phoenix House, Rosslyn Crescent, Harrow, HA1 2SP.

2. Website use

This website provides information about Hindu priest services. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate, but ceremony availability, service details and arrangements should always be confirmed directly with us.

The website is for general information only. Religious and cultural information on this website is not legal, medical, financial or professional advice. Contacting us does not create a confirmed booking or a binding service agreement.

3. Enquiries and bookings

A ceremony booking is confirmed only when the following have been agreed:

These details are typically agreed by phone or WhatsApp. A booking is not confirmed until we have clearly accepted it and any requested deposit has been paid.

Please check the agreed date, time, address, ceremony type and fee carefully. If anything is incorrect, tell us as soon as possible.

4. Your responsibilities

When booking a ceremony, please ensure:

5. Fees and payments

Ceremony fees, travel costs and any deposit are agreed directly with you before the booking is confirmed. Payment terms are also agreed at that time — for example, whether payment is by cash, bank transfer, or another method.

Travel outside our usual area may incur additional travel costs. This will be discussed and agreed with you in advance.

If a deposit is requested, the booking may be held only after the deposit is received. Any refund or transfer of a deposit depends on the cancellation terms agreed for that booking.

6. Changes and cancellations

If you need to change or cancel a booking, please let us know as soon as possible. We understand that plans change and will work with you to find a solution.

If we need to cancel or reschedule due to illness, emergency or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you promptly and, where possible, help arrange an alternative date or pandit.

Specific cancellation terms (such as deposit refunds) are agreed at the time of booking. If materials, travel or third-party costs have already been incurred, these may need to be deducted from any refund.

7. Ceremony materials and safety

Some ceremonies may involve items such as diya, incense, havan fire, food offerings, flowers, water, grains or other samagri. The exact items needed should be confirmed before the ceremony.

You are responsible for making sure the venue permits the ceremony and that appropriate safety precautions are in place. We may adapt, pause or refuse to perform any part of a ceremony if we believe it would be unsafe, unlawful or unsuitable for the venue.

8. Photos, reviews and testimonials

We may ask for permission to use photos, reviews or testimonials from a ceremony. We will not intentionally publish private ceremony photos on this website without permission. If you want a photo or review removed, contact us and we will review the request.

9. Liability

We perform ceremonies with care and devotion. However, please understand:

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so (for example, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).

Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under the laws of England and Wales.

10. Third-party links

This website links to WhatsApp, Google Maps, Google Reviews and other services. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
